Coupe Exhaust on my sedan

I went to the Infiniti Dealership today to see if they had a coupe midpipe and the guy took me upstairs in the warehouse and showed me a full catback exhaust from a coupe and said he could sell and install it for $350 or I could buy it for $250 and install it myself. So my question, is this a good deal or would it be possible to get it for less since the first price he popped off was $600/700 and went straight to $350 once I talked to him some more. Should I get it, I want the coupe sound along with the dual tips?

LOL NOT POSSIBLE. RUN

03-06 Sedans CANNOT run Dual exhausts without HEAVY modification and even then I think there has only been 1 or 2 guys on here that have done it! or atleast that I know of or think I know of or something idk.

Eitherway no dont get it

The only thing you can use from that setup is the mid-pipe. The Y-Pipe is the same as the sedan, the Muffler will not fit due to the sedan's spare tire being in the way. Maybe try to get the mid-pipe for $50 - $75

I'd pay 350 just to see the look on his face when he got under your car and realized what he committed to. Clearly does not have a clue about our cars, so yeah, give him 60 bucks for the middy and then run.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd love to see him try and install that thing for $100

Keep looking at the dealerships. I bought 3 HR Y pipes at the local Infiniti dealership here a couple of years ago and paid $20 bucks each for them.

How do you even initiate such a question? Who do you ask? Service? Parts?

My stock Y-pipe is starting to succumb to New England salt. Love to squirrel away some stock parts at this point. Love to get a spare y-pipe, middy and muffler for cheap some day

I went in asking for a couple of the little plastic clips and they sent me around back to talk to a mechanic. I just casually asked him if they did a lot of aftermarket exhausts and what they did with the stock pieces they took off. He said they gathered them in a small area out back to send to scrap.

I'm not sure he was supposed to sell them to me but I slid him $60 and loaded the 3 pipes up and left. You never know until you ask I guess.

Well Shoot my dealership is pretty stingy but ill go in and ask for some clips lol.. My dealership would never let anyone in the garage to talk to a mechanic. And parts department will just sell me one new for like Couple hundred probably cause they would never bend the rules and sell me a used one laying around.

You seem like you have a pretty relaxed dealership..

I never thought to ask a dealership. I'm planning on having a shop modify a 350z midpipe that I got for cheap. Bolt in is better though...

Im running a TD exhaust on my 06 sedan. If you want a true dual exhaust buy the stillen TD, the only modification is to weld a hanger for the muffler for the 05-06 sedan. Other than that its a direct bolt on.

Edit: Now if you want a single outlet on both sides, that will need some modifications.
