Might not be news to some... but I was behind an M37s tonight on fwy... had not seen these tails yet...

The only vehicle Nissan has got the tails right (until now) were FX (imo)... Taillights in every other Nissan/Infiniti line of vehicles for the past decade or so have been the only thing that has always been wrong (again, IMO)... until now.

I couldnt find full rear shot (looks better at distance) - but these look really good... they need to take this design and carry over to the G line

I think M, 05-06 sedan and 180sx are the nicer ones.

 

yeah I saw a new M the other day and noticed the new tail design. I agree it looks great. Too many manufacturers are going with the circular LEDs now.

I have always been a fan of the 180sx tail lights and the R34/R35 GTR tail lights. I like the circular led rings on the G35's but wish there were two circles instead on one. The G37's look good but could be better if you ask me.

 

I think the new M is ugly. Even the tail lights.

not to mention, it kinda looks toyota-ish/camry-ish taillights with LEDs

 

IDK Mike.... they look kinda "Camry" to me!

I feel you on the FX tails though. Always liked them (and yours too for that matter)

I think the circular tails make infinitis stand out more.

Coincidentally... no more than 5 minutes after seeing the M37s, there was an R8 in my rear view mirror (left lane)!!!! That car is B!TCHEN!!!!! I very, very rarely give thumbs-up, this car got one! (too bad I was in an F-150 and I dont even know if he/she saw the kudos; real dark tint windows)...

The rest of my drive home - two sides of my brain were fighting about whether I should try to have one of those

At that point the G37s seemed like a 1980 Passat

 

I drove a relative's R8 and it is a very sexy car. Sadly, its not as fast as it looks

EDIT: It was the 4.2 model. I'm sure the 5.2 V10 is much faster

 

must be me... but I think Nissan design engineers took styling cues from my tails... now I hafta put a date stamp trademark on mine

 

from all pro reviews I've seen and read - it's PLENTY fast!

Did you take it on a track and push the limits (which would be far greater than any of us non-pro drivers)?...

*edit - just saw your ninja edit... this one had V-10 on the fender!!! rarely am I enamored... in this case I was!
