Look into the Transgo kit for quicker shifts.

Trans cooler will help for durability/longevity, and a steeper Final Drive gear will help with acceleration and throttle response due to torque multiplication.

Too bad there isn't an aftermarket stall converter option

SxExCx has a grounding kit that has a connection to the transmission and it makes the shifts instant like it should be. https://g35driver.com/forums/group-b...nding-kit.html The group buy is still not going on but PM him for a price

I would do the transgo kit and build do the big three grounding upgrade along with the grounding kit.

You can do the DIY on the Big three and the grounding kit. You will need to get a quality crimper or hammer crimp. Use some nice sleeving or split loom tubing along with heat shrink on connectors. You can go a step further and use solder on the terminals along with crimp. It is very easy to do and you can get quality wire for very cheap in bulk and make each connection perfect length. I have linked you bunch of DIY that will help with understanding the concept and getting a pricing list. There is plenty of DIY for this car for Oil cooler, Tranny coolers, fluid swaps, common issues and more. JUST SEARCH

350z but extremely detailed and gives you length of wires

Good overall info

Another G35 grounding kit and as you can see just wires with crimps on it and common parts that are found at ace hardware or home depot

http://groundinggear.com/GroundingGear%C2%AE.htm

First Grounding point - negative battery terminal.
Second Point, from the negative terminal to the Tranny.
Third Point from the Tranny to the Firewall.
Fourth point from the Fire wall to the drive side strut tower.
5th point from the negative to the front radiator support.
6th point to the valve cover.

Benefits

1. Stronger Starts.
2. Smoother Automatic tranny, it some how responds a little quicker.
3. Brighter Head lights, (MAYBE)
4. Throttle Response is improved.

None of the points list above will do ANYTHING...ZERO use for any of them.

Wow, where to start. The Big Three will have virtually no impact on the transmission. It's only value is if you plan on putting in an enormous sound system.

And don't bother making your own cables for a grounding kit. It's far too much work, with too much chance of not doing it correctly (bad crimp, bad solder, incorrect length), all so you can save maybe $25.

You're circling the engine, and other than the first cable, there's no benefit whatsoever to this configuration. Firewall to the strut tower to the radiator support? Why? And a loop layout is less effective than a star layout. You also forgot a major part (the ECU).

I don't know if you just found this, or came up with it yourself, but it's bad information. At least you got the Transgo part right.

Excessive grounding runs the risk of creating ground-loops and other issues. Just do with you need...and nothing more.

Never ground anything to someplace that is electricially connected to the radiator. A difference in ground potential could lead to electrolysis in the engine, which is a possibility with Aluminum blocks/heads.

Of course i have a different opinion to what is needed for grounds than most others

A grounding kit has helped improve 5AT shifting on many cars (not all). Well documented if you want to go through the 1000 reviews in Gord's GroundingGear thread.

The transgo shift kit will increase line pressure to improve shift speed (except I think 4-5 remains untouched) but you will feel "clunks" at times because shifts are firmer than they need to be at low torque (side effect).
