G Sedan Forgestar 19x10 Offset Fitment?
G Sedan Forgestar 19x10 Offset Fitment?
Hello All,
I've been reading on this forum for close to a year, and have learned a lot! This is my first thread so please be kind =P.
I've tried searching for Sedan 19x10 wheel fitments and only came up with more questions. I apologize if this is a repeat thread, but please try to answer specifically to this setup.
There is a staggered set of Forgestar F05 wheels available...specs as follows:
19x8.5 offsets from +32 to +47
19x10 offsets from +26 to +44
I am not concerned about front wheel fitment, but the 19x10 with max +44 offset somewhat concerns me. I would like to be flush without a lot of negative camber (factory camber if possible but I doubt with x10"). I don't mind doing some light fender work to ease fitment.
I truly admire CandleStickPark's G-Sedan in this thread and would love to look like this but just not lowered as much:

According to WheelDude's thread, it was suggested the 19x10 would fit with an offset lower than +55 (hopefully he was talking about the 1st gen sedan):

...and the website shows more offsets for 19x10 Sedan fitment...
http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/ind...th=473_475_479
I did more research, but before this post turns into an essay I would like to receive feedback from the experience of actual G35 drivers
. Please suggest ideal offsets for front and back--these wheels are MADE-TO-ORDER and I would like some guidance.
Thanks!

P.S. I also read the FAQ, but would still prefer personal opinions. Thanks.

What is your front width and offset?
Do you have any rubbing issues with/without load? What about clearance between the tire/rim and your suspension?
-------------------------------------------------
In some older threads I've read, why were most people saying that ~+55 would be ideal for x10 if that seems not to be the case?

Nvm, I found this:

You're more famous than I thought...
I read you are running +35 and 10mm spacer = +25 offset?

I'm aware that the car will naturally neg camber when lowered. I'll do it right with a coilover and camber kit when it comes time to lowering.
If I do a slight tuck it would be like CandleStick, otherwise I'll just stay flush similar to SDGenius. I just don't know numerically yet (in or mm).
I just wanted to confirm which 19x10 offest under daily driver experiences and mild lowering will work just fine.

You'll need to lower it before you put the rears on, otherwise it'll look really bad. Just get coils first, if those are your plans. Don't buy wheels with weak offsets, just to run stock then have to buy spacers later.
Alright, I went ahead to purchase the wheels. These F05 wheels are being discontinued and I am supposedly getting the last staggered set available from Forgestar for 19x8.5/10. I will not be throwing them on the car right away--I will wait until I need new tires and then invest in the rest of the setup during fitment. They are selling to me for $975 for the set =).
Thanks guys for your assistance!

Wonder why they're discontinuing them.
What offset did you go with?
I would go with +40 in the back and roughly +30 in the front. Roll the rears flat and lower an inch and half to two inches.

I got the 04 G Aug last year with only 50.5k on it from first owner! Came with pretty decent tires. Once the tires need replacing I'll put everything on. Ahem...do I smell rubber?
