Sorry it took so long to reply, I forgot I had posted this. The bushings were "loose" on the connecting rods, I didn't feel any control issues, I just was getting a noise from the rear that sounded almost like something was rolling around in the trunk, and maybe a slight "popping" sound, so far it seems to have worked the second time with the revised part number!

i've taken my sedan in twice for front creeking. first time they couldn't hear it. second time, i took the tech for a ride and he heard it. this is from my 1/26/05 invoice:

"C/S hearing creaking coming from both frt pass and drivers wheel area going over small bumps. frt cowel making noise at base of windshield. installed foam padding on cowl per bulletin ITB02-060." labor 0.5 hrs.

i have a 2003, so i'm not sure if this will apply to 2004 models. good luck everyone.

g35girl- Did the cowl fix solve your creaking problem? If so, would you have guessed that the sound was coming from the windshield area before getting that diagnosis? (Mine definitely sounds like a suspension and/or underbody sound.)

Mine seems to be suspension related; it also seems to be widespread issue.

I think the creaking you are referring to, may be fixed by a TSB Does the creaking sound like the AFLAC duck at all? It sayss that TSB is for the '03, but they also did it to my '04 a while back, I also read a post somewhere that the material they use for the bushings is prone to squeaking sometimes.

The dealer categorically said that the noise is not related to this TSB; I had a print out with me, he was familiar with it they had applied to some cars early on.

Question

I have a 2005 G35 Sedan. Everytime I turn on the car and go at least or near 2,000RPM I hear this buzzing-spring lock sound. This happens all the time when I start and go.

Is this the ABS system or something else?

noremac... unfortunately, no. i posted that TSB in the hopes that it might help another forum member. the creaking is still there and sounds similar to yours. when the car's body moves in an up-down motion (like when driving through a shallow dip or backing out of an elevated driveway), i can hear the creak.

birdhouse... that sounds like it is your ABS check. if so, be sure not to hit your brakes when it's doing that or the sensation you feel in your foot will kind of freak you out (as if you broke something).

I don't think that there is an identified fix for the problem. I have registered a complaint with Infiniti consumer affairs; the more owners demand a solution the better our chances finally have it fixed.

Just got mine fixed today. There IS a TSB on it. They performed a "body panel adjustment". Under warranty. Couldn't duplicate the creaking and popping from the base of the windshield though. At least I can go over a speed bump without souding like a squeaky old truck.

Did your service provider explain the body panel adjustment?
