Why did you buy a sedan over a coupe????

what insurance companies look at is called an IRG of a car its anywhere between 5-100 each car has a different irg actually the G35 sedan/coupes are way cheaper to insure then acura tls nissan maximas, its a pretty safe car, and the insurance on it is suprisingly low
my 00 lexus es300 ins. is more then the G

Honestly, the first time I saw a G Sedan I thought it was hideous. I couldn't contemplate how someone could buy one over something like a 350Z..then I grew up.
Also, I've always thought the lines on the Coupe were a little on the feminine side. Hopefully that doesn't offend anybody.

...beacuse my first car was a sedan - woot, woot 90 nissan maxie!!!
- because every accident I was in I was in a sedan and walked away (2-thank you lord),
- because my baby seats need room too,
- beacuse insurance was way lower and it was the only 6mt I could find in a 150 mile radius,
- because I become a sleeper when I go to the grocery store for diapers, (lol)
- because a modded sedan is just **** all day,
- and I enjoy the fact that my rear seats recline.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I wanted the ability to carry my music gear/instruments, comfortably accommodate family/friends and coworkers, and wouldn't have to sell because of future life changes.
When looking for a G I was considering both the coupe and the sedan, but every time I looked at a coupe I felt like part of a cookie cutter's rampage. The Sedan seemed more "business classy". Also, not often would you see PROPERLY modified sedans (IMO more elegant than coupes)--it was unique and I was up to the challenge! I got a great deal from a first-owner with low mileage and clean CarFax--done deal!

I drove coupes for the first 8 years after I got my license in 1990 because I hated the look of a sedan. Even my parents had coupes (dad had an '85 Camaro and mom had an '80 Cutlass coupe). I started with a big-*** 1976 Chevy Monte Carlo, then an '87 Dodge Shadow Turbo, to an '85 Monte Carlo SS. After those cars I bought a '91 Accord coupe to commute to college with, then sold it and bought a Cutlass Supreme coupe new in 1996. I traded that car in '98 for my first sedan - a '96 Chevy Impala SS. They were sleepers - a 4-door hotrod with the iron-head LT1 under the hood. She ran a best of 14.6 at 91 with nothing more than a K&N and Flowmaster catback, and the car was 4300lb. with me in it and half a tank of gas.
Anyway, after that car, I had a '00 Sebring Convertible, then an '01 Maxima SE (another sedan) and then went back to coupes - my next two daily drivers were an '86 Cutlass Salon and an '87 Monte SS. Those two were tough climbing in and out of the back with a carseat, so my next DD was an '01 Jeep Cherokee. I drove it 6 years, and finally bought my '06x this past February.
After all this, I'll answer the question. I picked a sedan because - it's easier for my kids to get and out of (especially in crappy weather), it has a usable trunk for groceries and runs to Home Depot, and the AWD makes it a breeze to get to work in the snow and park in snow piles. The G also reminds me of my first sedan - my old Impala SS. The G is quick, nimble, and luxurious (like my Impala), and is great for long road trips. It's also the total opposite of my Cherokee, which is something I felt I deserved after 6 years and 45K miles in a double solid-axle tank like my old Jeep.
I still have a soft spot for coupes, especially the Montes. I've owned 4 of them over the years.
