I guess that is true, but I went with the OEM. Glad I did that, peace of mind.

Exactly. Youre not FI or Nitrous or even have adjusted timing. Really you could use Autozone special plugs and it really wouldnt make a difference.

I don't race my G35, I only use my cars for transportation.

This guy has NGK for 2.00 shipped. I just bought twenty for all of my Nissans.

Although it says that it fits the G35 (he is selling NGK LFR5A-11), I went with the OEM (NGK Laser Platiunum PLFR5A-11).

Good price though.

We're talking about a very minor investment here, maybe $40 EVERY 100,000 MILES, so why by some cheap alternative that isn't up to OEM standards? In fact, we're talking about a $28 dollar difference because you have to buy something. The V-Powers will probably work, but they aren't equal to OEM. This reminds me of the pics I see where someone has spent several thousand dollars on wheels and then put some cheap-azz Nexen tires on them. Get the right plugs for cripes sake.

Thank you BuckeyeInMI.

Bottom line, if I did 118,00 miles on the factory spark plugs, my $40 investment on an OEM spark plug will give me another 100,000 miles. Then I definitely need a "brand new" car after that... may be G41 4th gen. ... (see the series, G35, G37, G39 and then G41) ...

Fuel additive

Your fuel additive will destroy your spark plags and also your car 4 oxygen sensors. it did in mine 06' g35 and i have to replace all of them it is extra 400-500 USD. it is waste of money.
I t can also destroy your 2 catalytic converters if you do not replace destroyed o2 sensors.
It is very risky business.

Honestly you are not going to notice a difference in performance between iridium and laser platinums. You would have better impact if you cleaned out your Throttle body, ran seafoam through brake booster, and some sort of fuel additive like BG or Seafoam in the gas tank.

You went 118k miles on stock platinum plugs..jeesh..

I'm not sure where Infiniti got their "guess" of 105k miles for the platinums in the 03/04, but heeelllll nah. Those should have been changed at 50k max.I changed mine at 80 and it was a night and day difference. The only reason I waited til 80 was cuz I assumed (like a dummy) they were iridium's. I just can't believe Nissans stupid 105k suggestion for those plugs.

Usually when i buy used car I always change plugs
I brought mine 06 G35 sedan mileage 95500 mi.2013 summer and changed them soon after i purchased the car, but denso iridiums were not good for that car, there started come inside the terrible smell of gas. My friend who worked in Nissan dealership sayed, Nissan spark plugs are only NGK and he was wright.Iridiums make car slower and they make car smell like gasoline bucket.
Now I made one stupid mistake and started to use gasoline additives, cause our country gasoline quality sucks and it destroyed my spark plugs and all oxygen sensors, that costs me extra 400$, silly me. I will be next time wiser.I suspected that my O2 were already not in best shape.
