So I have been looking for a third brake light for my G35.
It appears that before I bought the car someone wantied it more than I did.
Everything was in the trunk but the light and wire.

I am putting this out there that if anyone is about to trade in their car let me know. I will buy the light from you.

Ebay wants stupid money for one.
There are not any salvage yards within two hours of me.

Let me know if you want to part with yours.

Why did you buy that, it said 07-08 tail light Lol. I have the 03-04 tail laying around. It comes with a 3rd brake light on it that just plugs in. Let me know if you want to buy it for cheap.

07-08 - It is just two wires.
I figure splice them to my wires, then reconfigure the mounting point with some plastic weld and a dremmel.
Once the insulation is back in place no one but us will ever know.

Once I get the title from the stealership, I have to get the car inspected and it will fail if the third light does not come on.
It never occurred to me to check for the light when buying the car.

How does the light fail?
They are LED, right? Is it the ignitor/ballast that fails?

 

I don't understand the how. One or two LED's were always out with the entire LED bank failing to light up 99% of the time. Chris at LEDmarkers (ledmarkers@gmail.com) can probably explain what happens to the OEM lights. His are supposed to be a vast improvement.

 

just to make sure, its just the wing, but the wing has a third brake light in itself. Let me know if still interested.

 

There are lots of different problems with the oem third brake . From bad driver design,diodes failing,leds burning out to various loose connections . There are no ballasts or iginitors for LEDs ,your thinking of hid . Our third brake light will never burn out however you need the factory housing to clip our board into . Not sure if you meant your housing was missing or just the light that clips into the housing was missing .

 

I have the housing in the back window.

I am missing the lights and harness which mounts to the rear window.

I don't have a rear wing and have no plans to get one.

 

If you have the housing our third brake light replacement will fit it and we can include a aftermarket plug connector for you . Will save you from paying several hundred dollars for a oem one that will burn out in a year anyway .
