So hard to say goodbye...
... But it's time to move on to something else. Something I've been wanting to do for so long, yet I've been putting it off almost every day. Needed to pull the trigger at some point, so I just took this past Sunday night to think over the options and the next day, I did it

So without further adieu, let me introduce my new ride: 2011 Lexus CT200h Premium
And as implied by the subject title, I ended up trading my G35 It had about 94,600 miles when I traded it in. I simply got tired of pumping $66 of premium gas every 2 weeks, getting around 19 mpg average. Now I can easily save about half what I was paying before and get double the gas mileage! I know I'm sacrificing a huge amount on the performance part of the hybrid versus the G35, but I feel my horsepower days are over and it's time to get into something more luxurious, economical, different yet edgy-looking. Plus I've had 2 Lexus vehicles before so I know the brand sells for sure
For those of you who haven't seen, here's what my G looked like at its prime:
So far I got tint done on the CT yesterday. I'm planning to install HID's and LED's on the interior and license plate lights. Not sure about wheel options but gonna look at the F-Sport package and see what's out there.
This G family meant a lot to me in all the years I've owned the G. It helped me enrich my knowledge of the vehicle and the modification possibilities. I'll continue to drop by and say hello. Good luck all and happy driving

Ehhhhh.......I would have kept the G. It has so much more to offer other than than the mpgs. Even though the CT will get better mpgs, my guess is it would take well over 12+ years to make up the difference in fuel costs vs keeping a paid for G vs buying a new fuel efficent car. Sure, you'll be spending less at the pump; however, that's offset by the car payment, higher insurance, and taxes. In the end, you're probably saving $600/yr in fuel costs with the CT (assuming you drive about 10K year) or about $50 a month.
I've got no problem with people buying new cars because they want something new, but I find amusing people will spend $20K+ (after trade or sale of the old car) to get into something more fuel efficent. If you want something fuel efficent, buy a used Yaris or older Civic. Of course, it's not near as luxurious as the CT and I know that's one reason for the purchase. As long as you're happy, my opinion doesn't matter
