He will be smelling his own farts soon and then his smug cloud will merge with George Clooneys acceptance speech and then we are screwed.

Speaking of dealerships:

My local dealership just got a 05 6MT in recently (knowing how rare it was I was interested in seeing if I could trade my car in for it).

My car:
Mileage 99,000 miles
2006 AT RWD
Stock except for an aftermarket remote starter and some clear corners.
Clear title

Dealership car:
50,000 miles
2005 6MT RWD
18 inch OEM sedan rims with an aftermarket smoke finish on them with 225 size tires.
Clean car in general probably a 8.5/10 compared to 7.5/10 for my car.
Minor touch up on front bumper and hood.
Car needed detailing badly.
Clear title

Link to the dealership posting

BOTH cars are USDM and not Canadian models.
They are selling the 6MT for $18,9XX and offered me $7,500 for my car.

The difference I had to pay if I got my car financed from them was $12,XXX
AFTER I traded my car in.

Yeah. I think I don't have to tell you how I felt after they gave me that figure.
Suffice to say I swore to myself that I will pay off my vehicle and drive it for another 5 years or till it reaches 150,000 miles before I buy another vehicle.
AND even that one will be from the states and will be an infiniti.

I had forgotten why Canadians shouldn't buy from local dealerships and are better off going south and buying from the States.

$7,500 for an 2006? and ~$19,000 for a 2005? What a joke.

They brought the price down to $15,900 for the 05. Still though, they totally screwed you on yours.

They'll give you the '05 for that price only if you get it financed through them (7.99% APR lol) AND trade your car in.

So a) you get raped by the shitty trade in value

b) The financing company milks you with a high interest rate.

Oh and lets not foget that I have to pay taxes on the difference that I owe if I trade it in too.
