Brakes Squealing Constantly!

Anyone have an '04 G35x with continuous high-pitched brake squealing? I have been back to the dealership twice (the 2nd time they installed a 'brake quiet kit' which did absolutely nothing). Now I'm going back again to have the pads and rotors replaced. Hope that does the trick as I am getting totally frustrated. The car has 4,000 miles on it and was purchased from Flemington Infiniti in NJ. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried properly bedding your pads?

i've got 3200 on my X and i've been hearing some faint squealing noises from my brakes when i first drive the car after not having driven the car over night. i will be taking it into the dealer one of these days to get it looked at--- along with a myriad of creaks and rattles that need to be addressed.

This really is scaring me away from getting this car. Also lots of complaints on the seat tracks rocking.

good brakes

I have almost 11,000 miles on my G35x and have no squeeling or dust, because I replaced the OEM pads with EBC greenstuff (kevlar) pads the day I got the car.

I aksed the dealership if they could put the EBC greenstuff pads on, however, that would void the 3 year/36,000 brake warranty because it's not a factory part. What made you decide to change the pads the day you got the car and who installed them?

Just remember the number of posts you see vs the number of cars on the road.

I have 12,000 on my '04 & it's def the most solid car I've ever owner & I've owned a lot.
Sure I get the odd rattle once in a while going over a bad section of road.
But normally very quiet & nothing compared others I've had (including a Porsche)

If you are nervous about the quality of this car don't buy it.
You may never be happy with it.
I love mine but the glass is always half full.

Ditto. I will probably get 36K miles out of my Greenstuffs. Also, my front wheels stay nice and clean.

If any of these guys can show any car that doesn't have some minor rattles (not even sure I'd call them a rattle) when going over a bump in a road, I'd like to see that! I too find this car very solid! I am at 13k on mine now!

I actually beats you, went back more then 3 times and they also replace a new rotor and pads for me and the problem still there (they did "try" to charge me for the rotor, and i refuse to pay because its under recall! Alomst gave them 500Canadian$$ for it.so you gotta becareful about that, but i end up paying something like 300 for new pad and labour fee). It is more noticeable in a winter, but the squealing problem only happen within the first few breaks. After it got warm up, it just stop squealing...just dont know why, but in a higher speed or a higher volume of music actually start the rattle noice in the door. Other then those issues, i love my G! its the best thing i ever get, and after installing CAI, im trying to put in some cool exhaust from sillen.
