2004 G35x - Any ordered this part - 54618AQ305?

Hi all,
While working on my car, I (stupidly) managed to damage the thread on the part that connects the stabilizer/sway bar end link to the lower control arm
It wasn't easy to locate, but I did find a part number on the Sewell Infiniti parts site. It's called a ROD ASSY-CONNECTING, STABILIZER and the part number is 54618AQ305. Of course, it's not a part that can be self-ordered, so I am going to contact them tomorrow.

Guess I was just curious if anyone else has ordered this previously. I sure hope I can get it, otherwise I will have to replace the whole lower control arm and will be even more pissed off at myself!!

Attached image shows the part I am referring to.

Cheers!

UPDATE: Purchased the part from Sewell Infiniti for $31. They took a little while to work out what I was looking for, but they took care of it.

In case anyone cares, the new ball joint is a LOT stiffer than the one I removed. It might even be worth replacing the other one, as I'm sure it's equally worn. The more you know.

Kind of late, but I ended up replacing both of those on mine a few months ago. Thought they might be the source of a knocking noise, but was wrong.

I was able to order them through infinitipartsusa.com for $27. It says '05-'06 though so maybe they're different for the '04's?

I believe they are identical. Not a bad thing that you replaced them - depending on how many miles you had, the old ones might have been worn and reducing the effectiveness of the stabilizer.

Yeah, the new ones were definitely tighter. I replaced those and the end links on both front and rear.

this ball joint you speak of. Upper A- arm or lower Compression rod related ball joint?

It's the ball joint on the connecting rod he mentioned in the OP. There is one on each side in the front bolted to the LCA.

Bringing this back from the dead. I replaced one of these on my 2006 X because I was getting some noise as well as a loose steering feel over small bumps. It firmed things right up and got rid of the noise.

I have noticed though that the steering is feeling loose again. I'm sure replacing the second one is going to fix it, but I'm wondering if the first one (the one I replaced) could have gone bad again. How much movement can be expected from these ?
