OK the switch I'm talking about is the little sensor that your parking brake hits when its off so the light isn't on. When the parking brake is on (pressed down) the BRAKE light appears on the dash.
Well, after adjusting mine a couple times, it's failed. Dealer checked it out while getting an oil change and said the switch is bad. Good news: The switch is $25. Bad News: They want $325 in labor to install it!!! WTF? Rep said it is a pain in the *** to change out, but really? Five hours labor? Anyone done this before? What's involved? What do you guys think?

I went through the entire Brake and Parking Brake sections of the FSM and there is no mention of the parking brake sensor anywhere. My guess is it's under the dash somewhere and to get to it you have to tear the dash apart, hence the pain in the azz comment.

Hey I just went through this and if you look at the illustration it's part number one (1) called the adjuster screw, you have to basically turn it to take the slack out of the cable and that will take play out of the line and it should fix your problem.
