G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Well put. I refuse to let $$ dictate my driving habits, if I did I'd buy a Leaf.
I bought the G to drive and drive it I do with a smile. The thought of going 55 on a freeway hurts my heart. On a 3900 mile round trip to Cali and back in Sept. I averaged 22.5 MPG on freeway travel at an average speed of about 80MPH. Wouldn't have had it any other way.

I agree with the above contents, money matters too but nothing compares to beating a BMW and a Ford Mustang on the highway by unleashing 260 Infiniti Horses and blazing the Bose Premier Sound
With the right amount of minimal braking, 91 octane and cruise control driving, i finally hit 18 mpg in the city
Enjoying the Infiniti!!

First off, I don't have a GPS. I calculate by the fill refiill method. I am on a hunting trip right now, and earlier today I went 108 miles on 4 gallons. That's 27 miles per gallon cruising at 80 all highway. believe it or not, it doesn't matter.
Well, not quite. 4 gallons doesn't quite count as fill/refill. That's too small of a sample to use as any kind of generalization. There's too much variability (temp, humidity, barometric pressure, the individual gas pump, how many extra pumps you used to top it off, etc.). If you got 27 on a full tank, or multiple tanks, then you might have something. And it does matter if you're going to make a claim like that (29 mpg) but be unable to back it up. If you truly got 29 mpg, tell us the specifics (miles & gallons), or is it another short tank calculation?

On the way back from my hunting trip i went 231 miles, and the gas needle was a tick or so below the half mark. I put in 9.2 gallons as soon as I got home. That equates to 25.1 MPG 100% highway driving at speeds between 75-80, with the occasional romping on the gas.
The only time I was able to achieve 29.5mpg was when I cruised at 55mph one trip (never doing that again). I am sure that my mods such as HFC's and MD spacer play into my gas mileage. Two months ago, I was one of you guys on here complaining about barely ever seeing 20mpg, and after those mods and a full tune-up, I am where I am. I have noticed that even those tiny blips we give the throttle to hear our exhaust absolutely kills my gas mileage. If you guys are still getting 19mpg highway after a tune-up, there has got to be something wrong.
