New here and decided to join

Hows it going guys and gals. I have an 05 G35x. I've had the car for 1yr now. I'm the 2nd owner of this car. I decided to join for fun and learn a bit more instead of lurking. Before the G35 i had a 05 Corolla XRS, it was a fun car. I decided to get the infiniti b/c of the VQ motor. Fell in love with it when the 350z first came out and i got to drive around town. But i do miss standard trans though...

Welcome aboard! I bought mine back in February (almost a year already), and it's been great. I miss having a manual trans too, but the auto is great for a DD in stop/go commuter traffic. Enjoy the site, lots of knowledgeable people on the forum!

G35
Welcome I am fairly new here too. I can say though I am happy to be BACK in a manual car (6MT). I wouldn't have been interested in the G35 Sedan otherwise I don't think, there are a lot of cars competing with that class only available in automatic....

Pics?

I am thinking about getting an XRS as a commuter car for better mpg and still fun to drive. How did your car do in that area (mpg)?

The XRS was great on fuel. But you'll have to run Prem fuel all the time. On the highway i was getting 30 to 34mpg. In the city i got 27 to 29. All of it depended on how heavy my foot felt. I attached a pic (i think if i did it right) of how i had the car before i sold it. I only had an intake, window visors and a fidanza lightweight flywheel with an ACT clutch.

Nice job on the mid, just curious why you don't like it. With that big muffler on the 05/06 it should sound pretty decent.
