i think suicide doors are bawse when done correctly. Easier access. Better display of your interior and not rice like lambo doors are. OCG35 was considering doing this and nobody flamed him because he's a veteran here. But yes it would cost alot of money

How about Gull wing doors instead? Or maybe a draw bridge like a castle has.

Meh I planned on getting flamed because I have a low post count, it's all good. I have too many better mods to do first, and I'd need to actually see a G with them to convince me if they do look good. I still think the idea has solid footing, but I'm unsure how it would look in actual practise.

Wouldn't cost more than $50-100 tops, probably under $20, would only cost me my time. I was just hoping someone may have paved the way for me to help with the procedure, in the event I decide to go this route.
it's something I've been contemplating for a few years... almost did it when my car was getting body work done a few years ago.

I'll eventually do it if/when I finally have enough interest in the car again... (with a couple other ideas I'm not sharing).

BTW, it's going to cost way more than $50-$100...

Edit - I just read the remainder of the thread... OP (and anyone else), who gives a shyte what other people think?... If it's something you like, go for it. I've seen the cars of some of that people that poo poo certain ideas (trust me, many of them dont have the clout to tell people what works and what doesnt).

Yeah no doubt, that comment about pricing/cost was way off the mark, I can DO it for that money, but it'll look like crap. To do it cleanly the way I'd want it I would likely have to cough up the dough for the proper hinges. Either way, it's near the bottom of my mod list for sure, the TOB is making some wicked noises now when cold, I'm thinking I'll have to toss a clutch kit in soon.

Do it! I want to see how this looks on a G... this mod is something I have always contemplated, but never wanted to spend the money on. If you listen to everyone on this forum, you'd have nothing but bolt-ons on your car.

there are so many unknowns with a project like this that you would be crazy to even estimate a
cost. I think that's what attracted the flames.
for example, can you be sure the door frames will clear when opening that way without modification? Want about Interior trims? Door seals? Etc?.. Will they all clear?

^ No doubt I was half asleep after night shift when I posted that, it was ridiculous to think I could estimate such an undertaking. I know much better than that.

the answer is yes, it can be done... I looked into it while getting other custom stuff done... it's not cheap and yes it would take some modification.

If I dont sell the car - I will eventually do this
