1st gen getting old?

So as i have been sitting here and compiling yet another list of stuff i want for the G, i can't help but notice that a lot of vendors are dropping 1st gen stuff off their line ups... Just wanted to see what your guys opinions are, i know ARC went out of buisness so there goes a line-up i cant afford lol and the vq exhaust from motordyne is long gone... i mean i bought my g used in 08 and i felt like a baller that day just cause i was 19 and i was buying it with my own money but now i feel like the 2nd gen is getting all the hype and personally i love my first gen's styling more than the 2nd ( even if it is a 5at ) and thanks to guys like marcus and the rest of you big ballers i keep falling in love with it even more everytime i see your guys cars so thanks for the inspiration.... sorry in advance if this doesnt make sense but its 0327 and i cant sleep

I think there are still enough options for the 1st Gen Sedan. In terms of exhaust you can still get a bunch of exhausts (Tanabe, Stillen, Borla, HKS, Megan, etc. etc.). Aftermarket body kit options have always been pretty limited., especially for the 05-06 but you can get a KuRookie and Nismo replica which are two great front bumper options that weren't around when I first got my 05 Sedan in 07. Like you I prefer the body styling of the 1st gen over the 2nd gen. For aftermarket parts across the board I still think we have more than they do.

We never had a HUGE amount of options. Most of the options are due to the fact that we take things off other cars, mainly the equal year Z/G coupe and now newer years. We take the new 2nd gen brake upgrade. I haven't seen anything else but i'm sure things can come up.

yeah i think its just when i was on evasivemotorsports and i saw that like 20-30% of products had discontinued next to it, it made me think of why things are getting discontinued and then i started thinking about the years of the g's and next year these babies are going to be 10 y/o for the first year releases....

First Gen sedans still turn my head every time I see them cruising down the road.

If I somehow couldn't afford to drive my 08 anymore, I would have no problems stepping back into a first gen. Absolutely love those cars, think they are very underrated and dont get the credit that they deserve.

first Gens are a timeless design. clean smooth lines all the way around. they only look really dated when they got the bottom sills unpainted (03-04)

given by most of the posting around here lately is it. People posting stuff that isn't even remotely close to English. But all cars become like this once they get cheaper. I was on clublexus when most of the OG guys with the 2nd gen GS saying the same thing.

I guess once the car drops under $10k almost anyone can get them.

If you cant afford the 08, then i dont think you should be looking into a 1st gen. Cost of ownership shouldn't be too far off. Car payments maybe but the whole buy/sell process will make it all a wash.

I love my 1st gen and will never regret buying it. I'm actually just starting to really personalize it to my taste, after owning it for 1 year now. Will be getting my first set of wheels for the G this Sunday, and I'm loving my kurookie front bumper! I have yet seen one 1st gen in my area with the kurookie. And when Strafe comes out with the rear lip for us 05-06, it's just going to be more sweeter for us 05-06s. Not to mention all the helpful members on here that has helped me and given me advice.
