Cool M2 or MEGAN racing HR Y PIPE???

Hello

Ive been looking for an HR Y PIPE off 350z 07-08 for some time now and have had no luck finding it.

I came across Marinelli Motorsports vendor that is selling M2 or MEGAN HR Y PIPE with 2.5 inch inlet and 3 inch outlet.

They dont have the heat shield so they are also lighter.

Would this be a good buy for $139 shipped.

Anyone have one on their car and is it worth the money?

I have a coupe mid pipe and my stock muffler right now.

My Infiniti is 2004 Sedan G35.

Will this need any modifications to put on or is it just swapping out the stock one?

Thanks for your help.

No modifications needed...Take the old one off and put the new one on.

This is the only 2.5 outlet Y pipe I can find. Even the motordyne XYZ pipe is a 3" outlet.

Any aftermarket Y (made for the G/Z, or HR Y pipe will work with a coupe midpipe). Mismatching pipe diameters often causes some unwanted rasp though.

yeah i have a 03 sedan with test pipes and a coupe middy and the rasp is terrible. like you either floor it to sound good or take it slow. I finally got a magnaflow muffler and it helped a lot. it sounds pretty good now. personally i wouldn't get a y pipe if your gonna have a coupe middy the rasp will be bad and prob not much hp gain with outlet sizes being different anyways. Might as well go with a cat back system. i regret not saving for it.

thx for the info bro im currently runing no muffler just to see if ill like the sound and that must have been the biggest mistake i ever made. the car is slow as hell i could barely beet a f250 off the line in regular D mode. I would run a 3" exhaust setup but i dont want my afr to go hay wire and im not ready for a tune just yet. so on a scale from 1 to 10 with test pipes and coupe
mid how bad is the rasp? i mean iv seen som guys on youtube just wrap the tp in exhaust wrap and it seems to eliminate most if not all the rasp.

i mean i'm not sure how bad others have rasp. i know mine was deff a little embarrassing, unless i floored it and it just roared. If i were you i would just go with it and get the magnaflow muffler for 100 bucks and it will sound pretty good! https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...w-muffler.html I went with the same muffler as this guy. i ripped my muffler off though too before i got a coupe middy and your stock sedan midpipe sounds like **** period i hated it haha a coupe middy will help alot with a deep tone. and wrapping the exhaust i'm not sure how well that will work. i know test pipes add alot of rasp

haters hating huh? dude, you said you're running a y-pipe w/a 3" outlet into a middy w/a 2.5" inlet, that creates rasp, add test-pipes and a fart can to that and it's not gonna cancel any noise. i never said your setup didn't sound good, just that you must not know what rasp is according to your setup.

Lol you know you are right about the rasp with the mismatched inlet and outlets. Lucky few months ago i swapped my stock y pipe back in because my megan one was sagging. The sound was more clear. I guess i forgot to add this part.

But please dont hate on my fart can. Buddy club makes good exhausts. If you look up "buddy club 350z" (because they made one for the Z), thats what it actually sounds like. Deep with a nice rumble. And honesty IMHO anything else for the sedan sounds terrible. I didnt like the HKS, Blitz, Stillen to name a few. Except for the Tanabe Medallion touring thats one of my favorites.
