p1111 code problem

I installed a z tube yesterday and made the dumb mistake of touching the throttle body butterfly. Now my check engine is on and the code is a p1111 which it variable valve timing control i believe. I tried the ecu reset but no matter what I do the damn check engine light never starts blinking in step 3. Can someone help out

You can disconnect your battery overnight to reset the ECU as well.

Have you checked your oil since it threw the code? One of the fixes listed for P1111 code is to change the oil. Does your car have the other symptoms listed in the link?

disconnect your battery and pump your brakes a few times..no need to leave it over night. Engine code comes back check for vaccume leaks and/or perform the idle air reset gas pedal procedure

I had the P0011 code thrown a few times.... I changed out the solenoid for a new one and problem solved. I didn't even reset the ECU.

Car was extra loud on the intake side when the CEL popped on.

Which solenoid did you replace. Autozone engine code check didnt tell me which side has gone bad. I took off both and cleaned them with throttle body cleaner and tested them by actuating with the battery and tested the resistance with a multimeter. Nothing seemed to be wrong but i still have P0300, P1111, and P1136 codes. I know its been like 10 years since this thread was posted but maybe somebody can help.
