So after looking for a decent local coupe midpipe (ontario Canada) I found one on Rockauto. 80 bucks shipped to my door. I've dealt with them a few times and loved the service. The pipe is a "walker" brand pipe which is a reputable company. Anyone have any experience with these midpipes? Thanks everyone!

WALKER Part # 56184

Spending the extra 20 isn't the issue. Its finding one that's local and in decent shape. I saw one that was about 2 hours from me and the guy sent me pics of it....total rusted out, scaley piece of crap. I can't see myself paying that much for something that is such rough shape...plus having to drive that far to get it. I've read reviews where ppl like the walker pipe. Hmmm...its a delema. Lol

i wouldn't buy that walker crap, you may as well have your oem midpipe modified and get the middle resonator replaced
The resonator in the sedan midpipe is HUGE!! If I was going to modify my pipe I may as well just get a new one.

that makes no sense, you'd spend half the price having the stock sedan midpipe cut out then replaced with a higher quality resonator than purchasing this one.Originally Posted by yarko

My advice to you is to post a want to buy ad on here and my350z for a stock midpipe from a coupe or Z.

i got a magnaflow resonator in place of the stock midpipe, it's really nice coupled with an aftermarket muffler. Nice deep tone and smooth without rasp because i hate rasp. It was 155 installed.
I'm in Canada, and I highly doubt I could buy a high quality resonator and also have my stock pipe cut and the resonator welded in for 80 bucks. I may just keep looking for a stock coupe pipe locally.

I might be missing something but does Canada not have a quality exhaust shop? There's a lot of quality G's from Canada so I'd imagine you could call a shop and get a quote.Originally Posted by yarko

The point wasn't that we didn't have quality shops or parts..it was that I doubted it could be done as cheap as buying the rock auto pipe. Its ok though, I'm sure I'm just going to hold out for a oem coupe pipe.
