Ford Fusion - Another cheap knock off
Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. They obviously know how well Nissan is doing because it looks like a mix of the G and the Maxima. The car is basically a Mexico-built Mazda 6 with new bodywork. It's a rip-off, but at least it's a decent-looking Ford. The 500 looks awful.
BTW - the rear-end looks terrible, like a bad ripoff of the Altima. Here's a photo:

They even copied the side marker lights almost identically to the G35.
Ford is getting their clock cleaned in the marketplace so I'm not surprised they've resorted to flat-out copying.
I think Ford screwed this one up too. They took one of the best looking mid-size sedans on the road (Mazda 6) and ended up with another lame looking car. The best thing I can say about the Fusion is that it looks better than the Five Hundred. That's not say much at all. Maybe the Fusion will look better in person.
I like the 500 and Fusion personally. They are clean and unoffensive designs, at least to my eye. MUCH better IMHO than the deformed jelly bean design of Taurus/Sable.

I actually don't mind the looks of it either, nor do I the mind the looks of the 500. I wouldn't actually buy a Ford because I am not an overall fan of North American vehicles.....but based on exterior looks only, I like the 500 and Fusion a hell of a lot more than Camrys or Accords.
