The G35 oem intake tube came with chambers/baffles to quiet the intake. The 350z oem intake tube did not, so hence the name "z-tube". It has a lil less restriction than the G's. You can pick them up used for cheap.

Thats the intake i have, i like it a lot you can deff hear it roar! I had a eBay one with no heat shield it was terrible! i could tell that the stock was better. so i cut out my stock intake box and made my own still intake it worked ok but i'm way more happy with this one. Id go with with your not gonna see any difference between these intakes hp wise, and if you want some sound i'd recommend it.

A pretty popular and cost effective way would be to get a oem z-tube along with a oem rev-up airbox w/ a K&N drop in filter. Food for thought...
