Hot Air from vents

I am having trouble with warm air coming through the vents when driving even with cabin temp set at it's lowest.

I have done a search and seen the threads about the cabin temp sensor and that is all conected. The others seem to be about the air cond, but that works fine.

I am starting to think the controls may not be closing the heater part off properly, but can't find any diagrams to check.

It almost seems the vents just heat soak from the engine bay.

Has anyone else experienced this and can help.

P.S, I live is Australia, so the Nissan dealers are not as helpful as these models are still not very common as they come here as private import.

Cheers,

Matt

Same thing happens with my G, I just close the vents off when I notice it happening.

If you turn the heat on, heat will come out. If you then turn the system off, hot coolant still circulates in the heater core, small amounts of hot air still comes out the vents.

Turn on the AC let the vents cool, then turn back off........no more hot air from the vents.

Really? this sounds like it happens to everybody. it doesn't happen to me lol.

rarely the temp outside is gonna be less than or even exactly at 60, the lowest temp our Gs can deliver. if u put it to 60 without the AC on, of course its going to just give u whatever air is outside. its not going to cool the air down to 60 without the AC.

btw how hot is ur air? it literally feels like the heater is on when its not?

thanks for the feedback so far.

I have tried the air cond trick to cool the vents but it slowly warms up again.

I mainly have it on the flow through setting so in theory the air from the vents should be the same as the outside if the setting is at it's lowest.

It's not like the heater is on, but it is warm enough to be noticeable, particularly when you just want cool fresh air.

Thanks again.
