TIP: ES Compression Rod Bushing Replacement

Dumb little tip, but made my life much easier. When replacing your compression rod bushings with ES replacements, they come in two halves. On your factory piece where they press in, one side is tapered and the other side is not. Press the one in on the non-tapered side first. Then press the side in with the taper with the sleeve.

It'll save you lots of heartache.

Love them new feel. Let's hope for a squeak free ride. So far so good.

Make sure you keep them greased say every oil change to prevent this:

I am looking forward to installing my ES front kit aswell.

Folks have been complaining of a gap with the bushing. I installed a large washer on the bottom to help prevent it. Seems to be working fine. There was another post in the forum to this extent. Thanks to the OP of that post.
