Paints better, but at least with vinyl you can test, and if you mess up just peel off.

It's a bit of a pain with either method, really. Oh well.

And lexan is acrylic is plexi. VERY minor differneces in them, none that actually impact this project. really the only thing you need is something easy to work with and the right thickness, right?

Cheap readily available product is the plastic face-shields used for grinding shields, can find them at most hardware stores or welding stores, pretty cheap especially if you only need one.

Might cut it close on required length though, not sure.

thanks for the ideas...

right now i am using a .040" thick lexan its about the same thickness of the OEM piece

my friend that works with acrylic can get about any thickness and any lenght

ok i did some test fitting pictures

the masking was off in a few places but still not that bad for my 1st faceplate

i still got lexan left over going to try it until i get it perfect

not sure how I feel about the digital clock.. I don't think it's worth the effort in my opinion. I feel as if the analog clock is more classy
