help! I have been looking all over for this intake cover.

I have been looking all over for an ARC intake filter cover like the one in the pic I will be attaching and I can't find one anywhere!!!!!!!!! can someone point me in the right direction????

Also i have wanted to post this up in the for marketplace section for a couple of months but G35 driver won't let me post anything in the market place!! I can respond to people's threads and stuff but I can't place my own wanted or for sale listing!!
all that I can think to say is wtf?

You do not meet the requirements to post in the Marketplace. Ready the sticky.

I have read the sticky. it said something about 100 posts but I don't think it has been counting all of my posts because I am sure that I am at least close to 75 posts and it is only saying that I have 23 or something. but if that is the rules i will continue posting till i can get one.

the ARC box in that link is different than the one that I am looking for. maybe a used one will come up someday.

I would love to find one that is like it or similar. and I know my brother would love one for his intake. he has a vented hood on his 350z and is always worried about too much water getting in it.

$670

Money> Brains. That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen.

Can't afford the $670 for just an intake and all so I decided to try to make my own...
How's it look?

I still have some more work to do with it though. But so far my only cost was $12 and about 5 hours of work.

Check out the pics on my www.flikr.com account I just uploaded them,My username is nismoboy on flikr.
I am going through it to make small improvements where I can.

the pic is there in a link but I can never get these things to work for me. any one wanna give me a walk through on this?? I'll admit that I am not the brightest crayon in the box ha ha

got it all in there but could barely get the intake hose on and it's a cf one from evo-r.net so I don't wanna scratch it if i can so i am going through the thing to see if I can make small improvements to the design and make it so the MAF and all line up better and not have to be at such jacked up angles.

Here you go. Not feelin' it at all, looks low quality and like it was made without any precision. Just my opinion.

You forgot to add the air duct in front to get fresh air from between the hood and grill.

BTW, that is just a generic picture that site is using. The ARC intake box for the G obviously looks different.

That looks aweful, but 10 points for trying.

Thanks for the input guys, I know it's not as good as the arc one but with some polishing I think I can get it looking half decent. I may redo it all to see if I can get it looking more professional, but whatevs

Not bad for a homemade air box, definitely an A for effort.... I would invest in a cheap harbor freight brake press to make those bends more crisp.
