A Few New Mods *Pics*

Just wanted to let you guys in on my slow modification process. I recently painted my lower valances, got my Eibach Pro-Kit springs installed, customed the Infiniti 6spd shift boot along with my automatic Razo ****, shaved the G35 badge, got my Levoc dead pedal to match others, and finally gave my baby a good spring Zaino cleaning inside and out.

Sorry for the many pictures hee hee

Re: A Few New Mods *Pics*

Hey rumble...here are some quick questions for ya.

When you painted the lowers how did you go about it? Did you just drop the car off at the paint shop? Did you pull off the parts (what about the rear part on the back bumper?? did you pull it off??? does it even come off???)?

How much did it run? I have a paint connection, but I want to make sure it is a good deal.

How does the car ride with the eibach springs? Should I wait until shocks come out...or just get coilovers?

I am ready to spend money now!!! I want to get 19's or 20's, the lowers painted and some sort of sus within the nex 2 weeks.

By the way...car looks great!!!

Thanks in advance

Nice... but what are those things over the vents? Time for a rear deck spoiler and tint and that bad a$$ DP!

Hey,
Hot4carz.....There will be no problem painting them eventhough they are plastic. Many if not all of the cars these days use abs plastic for the side skirts and various other body parts (front lips, etc...) I was thinking of doing the same thing and getting only the front, but i might wait and see what other kits come out of the wood works. Correct me if I am wrong, but i think the sides that come with the aero kit are just painted factory sides (at least that is what it looked like to me).

The 6MT's only have 3 pedals as well...

Swap the foot brake for a clutch.

ronnie5: The sides for the body kit flare out instead of curving under. They bolt on top of the black plastic pieces.

Re: A Few New Mods *Pics*

Wassup all,

I hope I can answer all of your questions in one post. The things in front of the vents are definitely air freshiners. You gotta stay 'so fresh and so clean' when the girl is in the car ya know. Haha!! In terms of the painted lowers, they were done at a body shop and they did everything. They took off the parts, prep them, spray them with paint, flex additives, and clear coats for about $500CAD (not positive). The Eibach's costed $430CAD (cheapest I could find) and installation was $110CAD. The install took about 30-45mins. The dead pedal was drilled into the stock plastic dead pedal. The gas and brake pedals are just clipped on tight and do not move at all. The shift **** is really easy to install and the shift boot takes some creativity to look nice. I am not using the auto shift plate and the thing under it either, so that the bag hangs low. I was going to tuck the bag under the plate, but I didn't like how the bag looked like a lil mountain. I will post more detailed instructions and that should help everyone out a lot better. I have pictures too, so I may create another thread and provide the link off this page. Anymore questions and comments, feel free to ask away.

BTW, I won't be tinting the car and I do not like the spoiler. Just my opinion...I think the car looks much lower from the back that way. I can't wait till these springs settle a bit so that it will be a bit lower. I was going to go with coilovers, but judging by the drop on these springs I am glad I did not spend $3000CAD on a coilover kit. The drop on this sorta car is fine the way it is, especially if I get rims. The ride is very cool and just a tad more stiff, but hardly noticable to passengers. Hopes this helps you all and thanks for the comments.

Good job on the shift boot dude, creative. I didn't wanna paint my sills, body will look too low and tall on 17inch wheels, but having carbon fiber vinyl that covers all around sills would be cool. ...I think. : / If not, BMWs Jet Black color sills would be good. Anyways good job well done.
