right now my JDM mirrors are stuck folding in i need them to be folded out to fit in the USDM mirror cover

can i just hook up the 2 wires to the battery to make them open?

Yea I know I been busy so.. its no biggie was pretty funny seeing it skip down the road and than getting ran over. It was the jdm mirror glass so it wasnt needed.

you can hook it up to your battery.

If I can recall. You hook the

Colors

Switch - Lime = Battery +
Switch - Blacks = Battery -

The other five wires are I believe 3 for adjustment and 2 for fold in and out

Hook the colors up

I believe Green/blk, Red or yellow are fold in and out.

Just plug and play

it took me like 5 mins to figure it out.

Yes it does seem your colour coding is different. However if it's from a coupe or just a different year G35 (ie. 05/06) that's not a big surprise.

BUT, and I don't know this for sure, I would suspect that the TERMINAL designations are the same.

This can be verified by checking the FSM for the coupe, 05/06, etc, and checking wiring colour codes on those units to see if they match what you have.
http://nicoclub.com/fsm

If the terminals are the same, just match everything up via terminal designations vs. the JDM harness I have/Neo has.

Marcus texted me about issue/concerns that you guys were having...sorry for the late response...I have been extremely busy...but...I did respond to TunerMax about some similar questions via PM....

I also have issue with the angle of the mirrors.....and you will because of the internal folding motor (im assuming) I had the same issues on previous folding mirrors that I had installed on previous cars....so I already knew about it, and just learned how to use them and deal with them this way....IMO its not that big of an issue, but it may to some people.

Now, regarding the folding of the mirrors - I dont have that issue. Both my mirrors fold all the way evenly with no problem....

...IF i can, ill post pictures asap.....

...I hope this helps.....you can PM me if you have questions....I dont really check threads, I really only check PMs at times....

But not having proper viewing angle on the driverside mirror is aggrivating me already. I need to find some resolution here.

Manually tilting the motor more won't work either because it's recessed and if it does tilt anymore all you see is the housing, you don't even gain anything lol.

Thanks for chiming in, responded to your PM.

As for the angle being off, on these it seems to be from the triangular base, NOT the internals. If you put the USDM base on the driver side, there's no issue with the viewing angle at all. But, again, with the USDM base, the mirror won't fold in all the way.

If you get a chance to post pics that would really help us determine things a little more precisely.

Mainly, I need to know that I haven't done somehting different/wrong.

I thought about this, and the answer is yes, it CAN be done. The problem is, it really won't do anything positive for the problem. If you look at the pic I posted of the view in the mirror, it's tilted so far that you're actually seeing the cover. Tilting out more will just show more of the cover, not the road. The only solution to this would be to bring the whole motor/mirror out AND tilt more. But that will look ridiculous.

Pictures don't work perhaps you're using a private personal link that is only visible to you.

Yup had to do the same with the USDM base. they fit fine once you make the cut-out for that little notch ont he motor mounting surface though. Let me know how it folds in, pictures if possible !
