For those of you with lowered G's.
It's inevitable and comes with the territory of lowered cars. The more slammed you are, the more you are likely to bottom out. I don't mind hearing plastic but when I hear metal dragging, it makes me cringe as if my fingernails are running across a chalk board.
Like someone said previously, sometimes when I hit some uneven pavement at high speeds being low with stretch tires, it literally sounds like something damn nearly broke. Certain things you can avoid, but sometimes you just gotta live with it I guess.
Sometimes, form > function. *sigh*
Edit: BTW I just ordered a new undertray splash shield. Mine got destroyed the other night on the 405. It's dragging all over and makes my car sounds like a Harley. LOL fml

I just ordered mine from discountbodyparts.com
Great price over the OEM one. Dealer wanted $120 after tax which is ridiculous. I'll probably end up destroying another one real soon. On top of that, these are supposedly the same quality as the oem ones. We'll see once it arrives. FYI I only paid close to $60 shipped to me, so I can't really complain.

All the time. If you don't bottom out, your car is not low enough! I've replaced my front bumper and the plastic covers under the car quite a few times as well as an exhaust due to bottoming out.
Z S-Techs and Tokico D-specs, and I haven't had a problem with bottoming out ever since. The higher spring rates seem to help a lot. The slight raise might have had something to do with it as well.

That is crazy.
I'm on sedan s-techs and as far as bottoming out I did on a huge bump with 4 people and a trunk full of stuff. As far as scraping the ground, not really a problem but occasionally.
