Question Clip unclipped on my breaks??

Hey folks,

TPS sensor went off the other day and took a look at the tires and noticed this clip sticking out of the brakes. What is that clip for? Is it a warning clip of some kind or should I just stick it back in it's place? Could this be the reason why my TPS sensor went off? The tires look fine (although I didn't actually get time to measure the pressures yet).

Brakes are fairly new, less than a year.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

it looks like the brake hardware shim clips, they should have nothing to do with TPS sensor

Check all your tire pressures, they might be low. TPS (tire pressure sensor) check all tires

Ok, it's not the reason for setting of the TPS, but what IS it for? Is it important? Do I just put it back in it's place or did it pop out to tell me something?

Are you using stock brake pads? If you are, you can reinstall them with that clip hooked inside the brake wear sensor. If you are using aftermarket, i don't think you can do anything about. I use Hawk pads and usually one pad has the sensor, so I install that on the outside, so it doesn't show.

I see your running oem brake pads, just slide it back in the loop. That little clip is designed to open the pads after you press down the brakes.
