For you OEM GPS guys

HIT UP YOUR DEALERSHIPS FOR NEW NAVI DISC!

I just back from the dealership and they sold me a new navigation disc.

I normally get them yearly but i didn't get an email when the 2012 was released. But here it is!!! They normally do yearly release in november but when nov 2011 came and pased, i thought they just dropped us from the line.

Version 6.10 is the 2012, just came out earlier this month. They offered it to me for $125, after they replaced my DVD-ROM drive for free since it crashed.

I'll be selling my copy soon on in the marketplace here, once i get my copy working
PM me if you want dibbs.

$125 just for a disc and it's still worse than a $99 standalone garmin.

I'll admit its not remotely close to the best but its functional!

With the updated disc, it has never steered me wrong. It is quick to tell me where the gas stations are and it loads up 10 times faster then all my android phones. It doesn't have a street view or street names. But when i was in the middle of no-where with no cell phone reception, the factory navi got the signal without a blink VS 2 android phones, an iphone and a tomtom unit.

For that i love it. Yea it could be easily better but hey its a 7+ year old screen and almost a 10 year interface. I've never used a car's DD navi unit so i cant compare to that.

EDIT: Different versions for coupes and sedans?

Thats true, If you dont have an app that preloads maps on a cell phone your not going to have anything. So yea its beneficial there.

6.10 works for 03-05 G's
7.7 works for 06-07 G's
