Best was a 9.64 1/8th time which also happened to be my first time on any track

Also it was about 85 farenheit there, I wasn't really paying attention. And I had a 1/4 tank of gas

I'd say thats close to normal. Work on your launches and try to get your 60' around 2.0-2.1

Were you spinning? I got 9.39 stock, but it took a few runs to get there. the 1/8 is all about the launch much more then the 1/4. Next time you go you should be more comfortable with the lights, look at your tach.

Once you line up and get both stage lights lit, hold the brake. Once the guy in the other lane has his stage lights on, quickly hold the brake and gas to 2500 and then release when you see the yellow before the green light up.

You might need to play around with launching to get the best launch. Make sure you are in Manual mode with VDC off.

Also you dont want to be sitting there for too long with the brake while your on the gas its heating up the transmission and not good for it for long period of time.

Not at all, except the couple times where I was wheel hopping when I was brake torguing higher. I think I'm going to a 1/4 strip next week but until then I'll probably do a full tuneup and be practicing my launches lol

Brake torquing was already covered. Lower your rear tire pressure if need be. Warming up the tires before a run might help a little if your spinning a lot during the launch. A burnout with street tires isn't very effective but I've noticed the difference between cold and warm tires. Unfortunately, the automatic transmission doesn't allow for much improvement.

Okay everyone, I'm heading back up there tonight. Nothing has changed except for new tires.

I got some Pirelli pzero rosso's, they're 235/40/18 on the coupe 18"s.

Any last minute tips like tire pressure? Anything to get my 60" down and help lower my times, going to try running with the gas light on. Thanks and I appreciate every thus far.

^It depends on the tire and how much the sidewalls bulge. My current tires have a stiff sidewall so I usually drop to 18psi.

Alright. I'll probably play with the pressure up there. Hey herr. Can you explain to me the whole thing about rollout? More rollout means quicker et's but slower reaction times right? I'll just try to cut the light sooner if more rollout means a quicker et

Not sure what your referring to as rollout. The clock for the ET doesn't start till you cross the line while reaction time is how quickly you cross the line when the tree lights up. Reaction time doesn't mean anything unless your bracket racing.
