K & N Filter Cleaner
K & N Filter Cleaner
Hello all,
I have a fujita air intake and took off the filter to clean using the K & N filter cleaner. I rinsed off the cleaning solution with water and let it sit for about 10 mins and shook out all of the water and then oiled it and put it back on. I think I should have let it sit for a bit longer and let it dry, I drove maybe 10 miles and didnt seem to have any issues but hoping I didnt damage anything, what should I do? Leave it in there or should I clean it tomorrow morning and let it dry in the sun?

Yeah.. Made this mistake on my old car. Had to take the MAF off and clean it after I oiled the K&N. I was told to spray and let sit 24hrs before install, most especially if you have a CAI or similar.
Clean it again, let it dry completely and then lighly oil the filter; after oiling, let it stand overnight on some newspaper. The sensor on the MAF can get damaged if oil gets on it and no amount of CRC MAF cleaner will fix the issue.
are u guys talking about letting the filter dry after the wash or after the oil. cus the oil wont dry i dont think..but u should let it sit to let any excess oil flow down on a newspaper or something
