Open trunk after battery cables cut?

I had an auto accident yesterday.

Im ok but the car is pretty much done

they fire department cut my battery cables because of a lot of front end damage.

I have a some amps and a sub I need to get out of the trunk.
I also have my tools in the trunk.

How can I get the trunk open?
Will I need to pry it open with a crowbar?
The rear seats dont fold down in these cars (Sedan)

I assume that you can still access the trunk from the opening from the back seat? If so then I think that you can still open it by using the Emergency trunk opener cable. See the red box in the attached and you should be able to reach that one.

its to far in a sedan to reach that cable.

sedan seats dont fold down or move at all.
Even if I was to take the back seat out there is metal bracing behind the seats and that doesnt move either.

hmmm...I thought you could reach that one (item 6, it is black) since it is attached to the trunk (with velcro) that is closest to the passenger compartment. The other one (item 4 in the photo, the one that glows in the dark) I know you can't reach since it is placed near the tail lights.

oh well...

You can reach it. I have done this before when I was changing my battery and left the new battery in the trunk. Just bend a metal hanger or something to help reach it.

I believe they do to keep air bags from going off while they are working. Really I think they are bored and just want to destroy stuff. You shouldn't damage anything new by reconnecting them. If you are worried, ask the tow yard to help you.

You can deffinetly reach the one in the pic. Its the small black one closest to the opening behind the arm rest. thats what it is there for. To get to it all you have to do is lower the arm rest, then the plastic behind the arm rest and stick your hand in the trunk and pull down on the little black tab and pop goes the trunk

just reconnect the wires, it's not that big of a deal, if nothing caught fire before wires were cut, nothing going to now. Just connect them for a quick sec and open the trunk.

Stop being a pu$$y

The purpose of the black latch is to be pulled through the seat hole. Reach in and grab it not that hard.
