Coupe midpipe on sedan?

Didn't notice any change barely? I thought it was going to pur more... I'm looking to make it sound like the coupe when I drive away. Any help would be appreciated. Do I need to pair up the HR y-pipe to make it sound like that

What year sedan? Will make more difference on 03/04 than 05/06 since the latter has a bigger axleback and already a smallish midpipe. HR y-pipe will make a small, incremental difference.

I installed the hr y pipe with the coupe mid at the same time... I think it sounds good even with the stock muffler. I consider putting on the magnaflow too, but Im happy for now. You should have noticed some difference though

im running a magnaflow, hr y pipe, and coupe mid pipe. love the way it sounds. if you can get it cheap, its a nice investment.

Now driving it a bit more I notice a difference. Not as much as I expected from what I read about it though... Anyways how can I get that purring noise to be more noticeable?

Megan racing exhaust! I love mine. Sounds mean. Looks great. Retains a similar stock look with the twin tips, but looks a little better. It will definitely give you more of the coupe sound, and then some.

If you're looking to go louder yet, try a good-quality axleback like HKS (hard to find) or as bnails says, go full Megan racing, I hear they are loud as hell. Just be warned, it'll also be loud INside, especially if you are AT.

The coupe exhaust note is difficult to replicate.

Yeah, its definitely louder, especially with my awd(aka automatic). ;(. It all really depends on how loud you really want it. I happen to like a real aggressive loud, but good/clean sound.

Do you have the z tube on your car that will make a big difference in sound especially if you have the coupe mid pipe and hr y pipe, but wot the car will be louder than a coupe. I have an 04 and it sounded great I just did like that my car did not want to go over 110 most of the time with that set up but if I got a tune it most likely would fix that.

yes. i should note I have the z tube with this exact set up and k&n drop in. the combo I think works together nicely. the megan will be nice too, but significantly louder than the setup were talking about. its all preference

I'd find an HR y-pipe before swapping out the whole exhaust, the Megan is a y back so you'll be able to use the HR with it or sell it and get the Megan Y, the Megan is way to loud for my taste.

Yep! I had the coupe middy, K&N drop, Z-tube, and HFC's with a stock muffler and it sounded great. Loud enough when I got on it people looked over at me, but quiet enough to keep my 2 year old asleep while traveling to Dallas. I recently went with a top speed middy and muffler. I will update when installed. As far as the megan system, I was sold on getting one until I heard my friends... Talk about loud! The sound is awesome, but not if you have kids and a wife... Good luck!

my 06 had a fairly large suitcase of a midpipe, definately noted a mild change in exhaust tone when the coupe middy was bolted on, mainly did it for the weight savings though.
