Update...
I called up Infiniti today and the mechanic I spoke to is not aware of the gas tank issue and said he never dealt with. I thought that was kinda hard to believe. He said the time I overfilled, it's gotta be the gas station's nozzle. As for it keep clicking off he said to try a different pump. I said I've used that same station for almost 2 years on my accord and it never had the problem. Not counting the last whatever number of years I've added gas to different cars and never had that happened to me. Anyway, he said if it happens often to just bring it in. How can Nissan/Infiniti who makes nice cars not able to get a gas tank right?
Anyway, just now while my car was about 60% full I decided to try filling the tank again. I tried what GSEDANMAN suggested, which is to not insert the nozzle all the way in and pull the nozzle a little back out. That actually did the trick and I was able to fill it up to full before it clicked off. So far now, my 4th gas fillup is fine. I guess I'll see how it is in the long run and whether or not if it happpens often, then I'll have to bring it back to dealer. But to pay for a brand new luxury car and have to ease of and watch when you fill up the tank is kinda silly I think. With my 13 year old accord, I let the nozzle fillup while I go back into my car to listen to the radio, with the G...I am afraid it'll overfill and have to babysit it.
