The G Runs Great in 7 Degree Weather
The G Runs Great in 7 Degree Weather
Had some wide open highway between route 1 and mid county exchange on the PA turnpike late last night and my water temp was around 192 and my intake temp was aroung 22. What a way to get the G running well.
My mid pipe seems super loud under WOT at higher speeds in this weather as well. Lovin it. Now for 2 days of sitting around in the house.

Yeah it's louder the warmer it gets that midpipe. Kinda of a deep sound when getting on it while holding a lower gear.
I guess when I get tired of movies and staring at this screen there is always some shoveling. No garage SUCKS!!!

Man i miss my modded G lol..... Well anyway, my M3 cant hook up traction for shi! in this weather, even with my 10.5 rears with 285 toyo's, 1st to second has me all over the place and almost sideways and still some spin hard into third, yous hould have Gtech;d your car last night, you would have been in 13's
What does this do I wonder, running the G for a couple minutes. I only thought turbos needed a cool down. And this weather is too much for the G. Hell, an H-1 is not enough out there.

G35 doesnt handle snow at all
My G35 Sedan 2004 does not drive at all in the snow. I am not talking about heavy snow. This is about 4 inches and roads are almost clean. I see other cars driving fine. I was doing about 30 miles an hour and I had 180 and 360 degree turns, when Toyota camry and Honda Accord doing 50 miles an hour, cruising without a problem. You guys have any ideas on this ? Is anyone out there experiencing the same problem or is it my car that needs some fix on this?
Thanks in advance

Bad weather
I just took my X out for a ride and it was a thing of Beauty. The car woudn`t even fishtail and this is in really bad weather. The State of NJ has declared a State of Emergency.
No complaints here.

yup the x is great in MN~ The snow button... Why turn it off after going 15 miles an hour or higher? Isn't it supposed to be like an AWD system??? Then again, the manual also states to not use the cup holders while driving!!! HA HA

We had 8 inches here recently and even while it was coming down the RWD G with A/S tires did better than most FWD cars in my opinion. It had more trouble starting off BUT it is much more stable around corners and on straight aways due to VDC. My FWD car suffers from significant understeer when the fronts lose traction while steering. The nose just barrels ahead regardless of how hard I turn till I let off the gas AND straighten out the wheels a little so they catch again.
The VDC keeps the RWD from swinging out unless you really gun it.
So, FWD better from a stop. RWD w/ VDC more stable around corner and in the straights but slower to get up to speed. No biggie.
Tires are more important than AWD. I love the X too, but don't tell someone his problem is RWD if he has summer or performance tires on it. That isn't accurate.

Haha, You're lucky, bro. Come on up north and you'll see what snow is.....especially on the East coast.
Enjoy your good 'G' weather, we've got a couple months to wait yet.
