VQ35DE are pretty hard on oil, you find that out when doing UOA. While plenty of cars can easily do 10k+ on good syn oil, i dont think the VQ35DE is one of them. But OP is proof it can, while burning a little bit every now and then.
My main question for someone who has driven the car 200k, what is lifetime MPG if you kept track?
my lifetime from 32k-78k has been around 16.8.
Snap some beauty shots it at 200k.

Southern California . It gets hammered by the sun and the paint on the roof started to cloud up under the clear coat. It wasn't terrible, but very strange. I just paid extra to have the body shop repaint it after I got rear ended. Now the hood is starting to cloud up as well. Not sure why that is. Maybe I've hit it too many times with the porter cable?

The exhaust is taking a beating. I need to repair the muffler flange in the next few weeks before my muffler falls off.
Everything else under the car looks great. Factory coating plus aluminum parts really help with corrosion.
Just the damn exhaust.....

Chicago gets just as much or worst then michigan, Like mustang, i lost part of my exhaust due to rust, my rear quarter panel lip shows a little sign of surface rust when i went to get it rolled. I'm a 05 with 72k, 200k might be a stretch..

a lot more kids own coupes compared to sedans. That might play a good amount. They all can make it but some get smashed more or less cared for then others.

I'm just about to hit 96000 on my 04 sedan. Some issues through the years, such as radiator and belt pulley in 2 events a couple weeks apart that left me using a loaner car for a few days in Colorado while a replacement part was sent in from out of state.
I'm about to where my 97 F150 is. That one is at 96200. I think I will drive the truck out of town next weekend to delay the day a little that my "new" car has more miles than my older vehicle
Of course, if I follow through and drive my G35 to California in May, it will have the lead. That round trip will about match what I average per year on my F150.
