I was about to replace my idler pullies (they are cheap, and mine are starting to show grooves) but this is the first i've heard of a delete. Can you elaborate?

It deletes the upper idlers pulley only and is basically a thick washer. I bought it with both factory belts from z1 for $37, not including shipping. The spacer goes behind the arm on the power steering pump I believe. The spacer Nissan part # is 13298-4p10a, but I think the kit from z1 is a good deal. This shortens the upper belt by 1" from what I understand.

From what I understand the upper idlers pulley
Was there from the early mechanical fan. It is not needed and deleted in later vq. It saves a few pounds and I am sure a small, very small, amount of parasitic drag. It will eventually have to he replaced so why not replace with a cheap spacer.

Wait a dam min!
So you are telling me that you front suspension doesn't creak and clunk?
No LCR & tension rod failure?
Your radio or AC controls didn't crap out on you?
You drivers seat didn't turn into a rocking chair?

Can't speak for the op, but I have original wheel bearings, my only suspension noise is created by poly compression rod bushings in the cold. I have original stereo and all works fine. My seat does creak though. 169k on my 05.

I haven't been so lucky...but I bought my car a year old, so i used the factory warranty at every change.

Under warranty
Both comp rods
front seat frame
rear axle click
driver's airbag, clock spring and harness
TPMS issue
pass seat sensor failure (got a new passenger seat out of it)

All that happened under 40K miles. Since then, i've only done routine maintainence.

Now at about 120K all i've done is
2 front wheel bearings @ 80K miles.

Other than that...about 100K miles or just gas and oil.

Hi guys, it's been a while since I checked on this thread see that there were more questions.

I'm at over 250k miles and had a few repairs. Radiator has been replaced, power steering leak fixed, suspension bushing replaced (can't remember which one). The wheel bearings have never been replaced. The 15mm spacers didn't seem to cause any problems. Still at 10k intervals for oil and 30k drain and fill on tranny. She runs smooth as butter.

Never clunked but kinda creaked. I had 2 bushings replaced mostly because the alignment shop said they couldn't do a proper job with all the play from bad bushings.

No lcr and tension rod failure. Don't even know what that is.

I did a double din kit with ken wood radio. This required new ac controller. Did this the first year I got the car. No problems yet.

Drivers seat is in great shape considering the mileage.

You guys are making me feel like I'm sitting on a ticking time bomb lol.

250k

I am at 248k myself with very little problems. I did buy a G37xS for xmas so the 2003 G35 doesn't get used as much...

But I am keeping the car as long as it runs which is still does very well.

Pretty impressive to see a G with 250k miles and counting. It gives me "hope" while I look for a "new to me" car which will probably have 80k+ when I purchase.

Cam position sensor went out yesterday at 263k miles. Looks like the part is about $35. There's a YouTube video on how to replace. Shouldn't be too bad

What did it do to let you know it went bad. Im at 206k and no problems, but I can see something like that happening in my future if you just had it.

It occasionally stalled at idle and it was difficult to start. I had my mechanic replace the sensor which was easy to access under the car. It was the crankshaft position sensor not the cam sensor.
