Just hit 200k!!

This has been the best car I have ever owned! I do all the fluid changes myself and meticulously change the oil every 10k with mobile 1 and larger maxima filter. Tranny drain and fill every 30k with J-matic. Other than than the belts needing replacement and airbag recall, I have had ZERO issues, I top off a quart of oil every 3500 miles and the motor runs like new.

Due for another fluid change on diff and radiator which was very easy to do the first time. Couldn't be happier with this car!

I congratulate you. I'm at 80000 and have had several issues but that's just the luck of the draw. Hopefully once I get them all taken care of eventually my G will last as long as yours. Ready to see 300,000

I'm almost at 190k and no major problems. Belt changes and brakes have been the only thing.

VQ35DE are pretty hard on oil, you find that out when doing UOA. While plenty of cars can easily do 10k+ on good syn oil, i dont think the VQ35DE is one of them. But OP is proof it can, while burning a little bit every now and then.

My main question for someone who has driven the car 200k, what is lifetime MPG if you kept track?

my lifetime from 32k-78k has been around 16.8.

Snap some beauty shots it at 200k.

149k here on my 03 sedan. I also do my own maintenance including fluids similar to the OP - but Mobil 1 every 5k. One thing I have been amazed at is the consistency in gas mileage since I bought the car new. It's about exactly the same now as it was new.

As to probs, only thing other than normal stuff that goes (brakes, shocks, struts etc) was I just had an intermittent bad coil pack that made the engine run very rough at idle sometimes and thew a code. Then I had an intermittent problem with the car not starting for the first several tries, and finally once it stalled on me leaving a parking lot. No codes thrown. Knowing they were the likely culprit, and knowing they are on borrowed time anyway, I just replaced the camshaft sensors and the crankshaft sensor. Too soon to know if it licked the problem, but I have a good feeling it will.

I still have the original rear rotors on the car. I do now have some oil consumption, started about 15k ago. No leaks, I just top off the oil ever 2k or so. Car runs like new, no one can believe it is 9 years old with 149k miles.

I've always gotten 17MPG city, 25MPG on long highway trips. Overall with normal driving/commute to work I always seem to get right about exactly 20MPG. It's never changed in 9 years.

Quick question to the OP: Are you in a location that gets alot of snow and salted roads? I'm just wondering if mine will make it that far in Michigan winters

Keep in mind.. It's mostly cruising on the highway. Not sure if I would recommend that interval for city drivers. The fact that I introduce a fresh quart of oil every 3500 helps as well. Did some research a while back and felt confident that 10k interval was fine for me. At 200K I think I proved it. Although I did start at 7.5K intervals in the beginning. Check out these links.
