Went to finally get the airbag recall done and got the complimentary multipoint inspection. I was starting to smell burning oil when I would stop at lights. I know how to do the oil pan gasket and the o ring. Not sure what they mean by "clean fuel/air induction system". Also anyone had to replace the valve cover and gasket? Dealership is charging $1,500!!! NO WAY I can afford that, I'm just a poor college kid.

Any help would be appreciated.

What years are for the airbag recall?

 

It is common for the spark plug seals to leak oil into the spark plug tube. You can get one of the kits to replace it ( you have to drill out the old ones), buy new valve covers or ignore it. New Valve covers run about $350 if I remember.

 

take it to a auto shop not the dealer. Be like $450.

All the other work you can do yourself.

I got my diff fluid changed at midas for $45

OEM blades are 28 on ebay, change yourself

 

I believe its 2003-2008 not 100% sure you can call though see if your vin pulls up any recalls.

You dont need the recall if your airbag light isnt on.
