Intake Manifold Port/Polish

Ok, so I didn't port-match anything, because that's a little overboard on this car IMO.
I did however polish all the casting marks, seams, and really rough spots, especially on the center section, it was nasty!!

DISCLAIMER: there is always some debate on whether it makes sense to polish your intake. IMO, unless you're using ACTUAL polish and spending a full day getting it smooth as a PVC pipe, there is no way you are going to INCREASE friction.

I just used an Emery Wheel and fine grit Buffing pad to do all of this. FYI I only really did it because I had everything off for other stuff anyways, but IMO it was WELL worth doing it after seeing the difference!!

ANNYWAYS, PICS!!

Before Polish/buffing, note how nasty and rough the casting left some of the surfaces

And some paint, not finished yet, I'll buff it all up nice once it's installed.

Is it nerdy that I think this looks like a bad-azz space ship?

I can see it being a little Millenium Falcony.

Had the 5/16" Isothermal kit already

Eventually I would like to pick up a used Kinetix SSV, more for looks obviously. They're so damn good looking

Price is just nuts though, especially considering they don't do a whole heck of a lot for power increase. May be nicer with FI, but still.

Sorry dude I missed this. It took maybe an hour to polish it all, but that's not including removal/reinstall time.

My son has been sick so I actually still haven't got this reinstalled. I went in there to put in the GT-R injectors, colder spark plugs, and replace the Wiring Sub harness.
Still need to install the wiring harness and spark plugs.

OH AND FYI for anyone wanting to do this, the gaskets for the lower-most Plenum are EXPENSIVE!! I'm sure you guys can get them cheaper in the states, but they cost me about $40 each (you need 2 of them).

Installed! Thanks for subscribing. I will post dyno results whenever it happens, though they won't really show whether this offered benefit at all!
