Angry Not shifting gears?

So yesterday while I was on my way to school I was cruising about 65 then I got onto an off ramp and slowed down a bit. My car suddenly slowed and jerked(downshifted) and my "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Immediately pulled to the side of the road & gathered my thoughts hoping that my transmission didn't **** up . Started my car again & it was still there . I drove to Autozone & got them to read the code, the only thing coming back was P1730 . I did my research on it & was only able to find a little helpful information. So today I figured I would try to drive to school & my baby wouldn't even shift for me . So i tried the tiptronic mode or whatever & when I shifted up the number on the dash would change but it would still sound as if I was in first gear pushing the revs higher and higher . Please tell me my transmission isn't shot

When I had a trans issue (fluid too hot) I got a trans warning and she went into limp mode. Take your G to Nissan and get this figured out, let us know the results....Gary

Looks like it could be a number of things. I wouldn't try to diagnosis the issue myself, you should take it to a reputable shop and have someone look at it. If you go the dealership route, go to Nissan not Infiniti. It'll save you a few bucks.

Possible causes
- Low coast brake solenoid valve harness is open or shorted
- Low coast brake solenoid valve circuit poor electrical connection
- Fault low coast brake solenoid valve
- Faulty Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) pressure switch 2

When is the code detected?
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1730 is detected when Transmission Control Module (TCM) does not receive the proper voltage signal from the sensor and switch.
