05/06 5AT shift knob removal
You can find this all over this site and web, but you put it into the neutral position, pull down the silver ring holding the ****, it will expose a metal pin holding it, pull the pin out (DO NOT LOSE IT), and just pull **** up.

If it's the one I am thinking of i think i'd rather stick to a leather ****. I know the M45 **** will work, but they seem to sell for $150ish or so.
The leather on my **** is starting to flake and the aluminum is peeling. There are days i'll take my hand off the **** and have this black crap on it.
It's really the only flaw to my interior, and it's time i fix it. Just trying to fix up the minor issues with my car.
