Opinion please - should I or should I not paint my Carbon Fiber hood?

So I have a Stillen SC w/ a Stillen Carbon Fiber hood. Its been on the car for 7 years now. The clear coat finally faded and it has this ugly dull look to it. My question to everyone is, should I just have it re-cleared or should I paint it to match my Ivory Pearl Paint? I'm kinda tired of the carbon fiber look especially since this car isn't really all that fast with this SC'r. What would you do?

If its faded and you dont like it anymore...paint it..If it has vents, leave them carbon...

CF is intended to lighten your car for those that actually run it on the track. Most members invest in the hoods and trunk lids for the cool factor! Paint it IP to match your car, paint the vents semi gloss black....that's cool!

I would paint it looks much cleaner. and I'm pretty sure theres no vents on the stillen hood, so I don't know how that came up...

Because you didn't post a pic and most of us aren't familiar with Stillens CF hoods, just the good stuff.

Exactly...no pics, so if you read my post you will see it says if you have vents..then leave them carbon...You never clarified if your hood h@d them or not...

Since you asked for opinion. I'd just sell the hood and put the OEM hood back on. The OEM hood is pretty light as is. If you are going through the expense of painting the hood just put the OEM hood back on and make a few bucks selling that hood. End result is virtually the same.

Whoa guys. What's with all the negativity. I didn't get all nasty with you guys, but if you want that can be arranged.

I cannot put the OEM hood back on because it is super charged! There is not enough clearance to use the original Hood.

Paint it. I am not a fan of carbon fiber or black with white paint. YMMV.

Last I checked, I was actually thanking all the people for their opinions regardless of whether or not this had vents to begin with! Sheesh.
