What sucks about being in Texas is that there's a huge chance these wheels are in Mexico by now. I'm sorry to hear about this. Hopefully you can find some replacements.

This happened to a coworker of mine a few years ago. In broad daylight in a busy parking lot. His supervisor was eating his lunch in his car and noticed 2 guys going back and forth to my buddies Chrysler 300. It didn't occur to him at first what these a-holes were up to. But when he saw them remove one wheel he put his car in drive and blocked the entrance to the lot with it. When the truck tried to leave the passenger got out and put a gun to his face and he immediately put the car in reverse. Believe me, these dirt bags don't go on these missions unarmed. If you were to confront them in the act, you better be armed and ready for possible return fire. I say this, it is not worth your life. we all let our guard down at some point. Hope you take the proper precautions to make it harder for these scumbags jack you again. I'm sorry Tim. I hate to see this happen to anyone.

Ahh but see if I was at home and the alarm on the car went off. You bet your a$$ being in Texas and having the castle doctrine available at my disposal. A .223 caliber bullet would be travelling from my bedroom mirror to the perps body mass or skull. Then I will call 911 and explain I would like to speak to my lawyer and request they clean up the mess in the driveway.

This sucks man

I just moved to Austin and thank god i don't have my TE37's anymore. Since i have been here every nice car in the parking garage has had the wheels stolen. My neighbors brand new e63 amg - on blocks. Bmw 550i - on blocks. Mercedes c350 - on blocks. Thank god for my stock wheels.

What was the outcome?

^^ Tim hasn't really done anything as of lately since he's still working about 60-70 hours a week.

However, he has already arranged to purchase a set of OEM wheels from a fellow VQ driver and is clearing out his garage so he can park his car within. Currently, he's driving his mom's vehicle to and from work but he's definitely still on the lookout for these wheels.

Thanks for the support everyone. Tim definitely needs it.

Fortunately all is well with the rest of the car. No underside damage, fuel rails are OK and nothing on the interior was touched.

Son is correct, I picked up a set of mint condition coupe 18's wrapped with Michelin Pilot Super Sports so I'll roll on those while I search for some replacement Gravis1's.

Forgot to add, Traveler's issued me a very satisfying claim amount. Was way more than I expected so that helped numb the pain a bit.

^i guess that's one positive thing.

So you didn't have wheel locks on the old wheels or they broke thru them?

what sucks the most about this is that they know where your car is.

I had wheel locks but they got them off and for some reason stole them and my lugs along with the wheels and my trunk spoiler.

Valerie, thanks for the kind words. I hope I get mine back but I'm not counting on it.

Glad to see your girl looking whole again, Tim, if not quite as shiny. Those Gravis1 rims were certainly your signature look.
