"CEL" came on today for nothing? Brought it straight to the dealer and the hooked it up to the scan tool and found nothing? Kinda wierd? Anyone else have this problem..

 

Yeah I had that problem once when my car was new, hasn't come back since.

 

Your light can go on with a simple thing like the gas cap is defective or it was not tightened until it clicks a couple of times at fill-up. I had this happen with my Maxima, it came on once, the dealer reset it and it never came on again.

CEL lites are usually for emissions stuff. Perhaps gas cap was loose. This will give you a CEL lite. Code will clear itself if condition is gone after so many engine starts.

Same thing here, just poped up after I left my school parking lot?????

 

It has happened to a few, but if it doesn't prompt a code in the ECU, then the problem cleared itself and wasn't serious. No worries.
