buying a new 04G35 and some Qs??
I wouldn't consider "free" oil changes to be worth a drive where you have to plan a morning or day around worth it.
I do my oil changes at the Nissan dealership 1 block from where I work approximately every 3000 miles. For $23-24 after tax, not worth driving 100 miles to the nearest Infiniti dealership, or 200 miles to the one I purchased the car. I've only been back to the dealership twice for service, the 7500 service (no oil change there), and just recently to see how much they would charge to touchup a scratch. I'll be doing that at the 15000 service in a month or so. (I have family there, so I'll just combine the trip with a visit. Probably do the oil change here again, though).

Unless you like to race, or brag, I don't see why right now you need even how much HP the G35 has.
When you want to pass or merge with traffic, it comes in nice. But I don't floor it even then.
Mainly, I just found the G35 attractive when I first saw one on an used car lot, never having even heard of one before. And wasn't even in the market for buying a car, since I was just going to drive my then current car into the ground, or at least another 50,000 miles. Still would have been the smart thing to do.
I should probably just stop frequenting sites like this, though. Keep on hearing about the new features of later models, plus all the nice features other cars, like the M45, have. I have to remind myself that I need to keep my car for the balance of the 7 year 100K extended warranty I bought

You didn't mentione $. What was the out the door cost from each dealer. Were they both 04s? Nothing wrong with an 04, if your going to keep the car for awhile. Battery? - put a new one in, and you're good to go.
As far as trading the "G" for a Camry. Well, it takes all kinds. My wife has an 02 Camry, a great appliance, but I don't want to drive an appliance. I just put Dunlop SP5000s on her car to improve the handling, but it's still a front wheel drive appliance (she loves it, I don't) Maintenance costs on a "G" high? Where? I maintain her car and mine. Oil, filters - that's it. Tires on mine cost a lot more for my Nismo wheels, but what a blast to drive. Oh ya, I gues I forgot the cost of my mods

Thanks for the all replies..
I'm buying one today, which is raining out there ^^ I don't know if many ppl buy a car in rainny day~~
Anyways the price for the 04new G35 with premium pkg. and desert platinum is $28,750 ($31,400 OTD). The reason why I was confusing in between free oil change and paint protection was both dealer offer me same price.
How's that price?
And as for the camry.. is the g35 that much noisy?? I drove several time it was noisy but it's not bad though.. How's the noiseness in the freeway..

O M F God some people are dumb. The only way I would trade my G for a Camry woudl be by Force from my parents for getting a bad grade. And not even then! Id come out with some agreement. Damn Infiniti G35 > Camry, that is some serious crap. Cant believe you even COMPARE these two. The delaer who you gave your G35 must be a happy ****.
I can see why he traded it in for a camery.. Heck if a porsche seat was causing me pain in my leg, I wouldnt find that car fun to drive either... Basicaly what he is saying is no mater how fast a car is or how it handles if it causes you pain to drive it, then its not fun, your better off with a less of a performance car (like the camery) if it does not cause you any discomfort to drive....
I can appreciate that....
Bottom line is Infiniti screwed up on there seat design...even tho most people are not affected by it, enough are to say its a bad design...

I more or less can understand that, but I dont see how Going from a G35 to a Camry is good. No matter how you look at it. I could understand going from G to a Lexus IS 300 or a 3 series bmw (all in the same ballpark) which I am sure are more confortable than a Camry.
Its just that the Idea of trading in my G35 coupe for something much lower in class as a Camry would make me wonder how many demons have possesd me for doing that.

I personaly bought the G35 becaused I wanted a 4 dour that could fly up mountain roads. I could careless what people think of me status wise for driving one... Heck I think guys who drive BMW's and Mercedes probably think were all a bunch of posers for driving Inferior Infiniti's (in there minds anyways). So us looking down on someone for driving a Camery or Honda Accord would make us no better then the pompus @ss BMW drivers who think lowly of us...
Funny thing is, I would say most of us who drive Infiniti's probably paid cash for them, where as most the guys who drive BMW's have to make payments or lease it because they really can't afford it. So who in that scenerio is the more successful person? food for thought
I also care less what others think of my status. Im not even professional! Its just that there is no way a Camry can be more appealing than a G35. Its just something I cant understand. Probably, he is not into cars as most of us here in the forum. I know I would stop eating, going out to movies, hanging out with friends, etc, if affording such a car required it to be paid for.
I think he's more upset that Infiniti jacked up the seat in a $36k plus car when someone like Toyota with there $20k plus car got the seat right... And in his opinion he rather drive a $20k car that is comfortable then a $36k car thats uncomfortable.
I can understand his view since i also had problems with the seat control jabbin me in the right thigh (not as bad as some have had it). Lucky my fat @ss eventually bent the controls out because I no longer have any problems with it..
I did noticed the Infiniti FX also has the same seats as the 03-04 G35 sedan, because when I sat in the SUV and took it for a test drive, after about 5 mins of driving I could start to feel the seat controls diggin into my thigh... Its a very bad design.. Although its probably harder for someone to understand that if they have never had any issues with the seat controls..
