KBB Value for 03 & 03.5 Sedans

I'm sure this topic has been mentioned on past threads, but I couldn't find any, so now I'm posting this question..

I've been thinking lately of selling my G. I have a 2003.5 Sedan, and obviously there are minor variations between the 03 and 03.5 Sedan. Such as the 03.5 sedan doesn't have an exterior trunk latch, some other cosmetic differences, and of course the car is little bit newer than the 03. When I go to Kelley Blue Book and look up how much my car is worth, there is no option for the 03.5 sedan; there is no way to determine whether the car is an 03 or an 03.5.

So my questions to my fellow G owners are: have you heard of a differing value for the 03 and the 03.5? do you know approximately how much the difference would be? any personal experiences at all in selling your 03.5? if its a private party sale, do potential buyers know the difference?

Any insight/personal experiences/advice would definitely help me out. BTW, I'm located in Southern CA/Los Angeles area, as geographic location is often a variable in the re-selling of cars. Thanks ahead of time.

I think you just get the same blue book value. But, you can use it to your advantage in sticking closer to that value. You can argue up all the differences you can think of that make an 03.5 better than an 03. Such as the trunk latch deleted making the lines of the car smoother, or that you're 100% sure it's not an intial run car, making it more reliable in the long run, etc. I'm not sure what else is different between 03 and 03.5.

KBB is lame. I did an estimate on my 04 sedan versus 03 with simillar mileage. 03 was valued higher, mostly because it had things that were optional in 2003 but became standart in 04. Go figure.

Having recently bought my G used, I can say I didn't notice any difference in values between the two. Mileage was the main factor. Most people outside this club don't know anything about the differences- in fact, I had to teach my Infiniti salesman about the differences. All you can do is price yours competitively, then explain the differences as selling points to potential buyers. I don't think you'll have much trouble selling the car.
