Why I did not buy a new G or Q50

After owning almost ten years of G35X and almost 10 years with this forum, I finally traded the G for a 2014 Mazda 6 grand touring a few weeks ago. I want to thank everyone in this great forum. I have learned a lot and have contributed also. My goal in this thread is not to talk about the Mazda, there is no place for it in this forum, but why I did not consider buying another Infiniti.

The Q50 is no longer a driver's car, but a car with tech and luxury, and along with that a price to match! Heck, a loaded one can exceed 50K, a far cry from my old G. The Q never received any good review from all the car magazines. My old G has reached its limits for me. Keeping it for anther 6 to 12 months would not be a good decision. My best wishes to this great forum and its members!

Goodluck on the new ride. I didnt like the direction infiniti took with the second gen and its good to know what theyve done with the Q. I still want to test drive the Q though. But yeah after looking at the price tag of the Q 50 im gonna go with 335i on my next new car (for now)

well the luxury car game is now either to lease, or buy off-lease. So I completely understand why you thought the price was high.

Q50 is so bleh to drive... I wouldn't have bought a Mazda 6 (even though it is indeed a really good car) but I totally understand your reasoning for not buying the Q50.

However, if you like the G i think a nice CPO 2012 could have been a viable option. The gas mileage fricken sucks though.

Mazda is a downgrade IMO!

I plan on getting a BMW also (after I'm done with college) as someone else mentioned. The Q looks good to me. Have read ZERo on it though. Good luck with that Ford made car.
